Our Leadership

Pastor Ronald D. Holton, Sr. & First Lady Jewel L. Holton

Pastor Holton was born in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania to Deacon Ronald D, Chambers and the late Missionary Theresa M. Holton, on August 12, 1971. At a very young age, it was very apparent that the hand of God was upon his life. After accepting the call of Jesus Christ to the gospel ministry in 1999, he gave his initial sermon in September 2000 and in September 2004 he was ordained as an Elder in the Church of God In Christ, Pennsylvania Commonwealth Eccesiastical Jurisdiction by Bishop Benjamin J. Ravenel, Sr., Jurisdictional Prelate. Pastor Holton received Jesus Christ as his saviour, was baptized and filled with the Holy Ghost and accepted his call to ministry at the Shiloh church of God in Christ in Harrisburg, under the late Pastor Carl E. Hines, Jr. He served faithfully at Shiloh COGIC from 1999-2006 in many capacities; he served as an usher, in the Transportation ministry, the Audio/Visual ministry, Youth President and as the founder and coordinator of From Boys to Men ministry. In 2006, he became a member of the Abundant Life Ministries Church Of God In Christ in York, Pennsylvania under the leadership of Pastor Anthony Sease, where he served until May 2011. This was a time of restoration and renewal in his life and ministry. He served faithfully in many capacities and was committed to the vision and the growth of the ministry.

In June 2011, he and his wife joined The Historic Lingo Memorial Church Of God In Christ, under the leadership of Bishop Benjamin J. Ravenel, Sr., Prelate, Pennsylvania Commonwealth Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction. His faithful service and dedication to the local ministry led to his appointment as Assistant Pastor in December 2015. Elder Holton served closely and faithfully with Bishop Ravenel, gleaning and embracing the wisdom and lessons of his more than 50 years of Pastoral experience. He helped to guide the congregation through the transition of Bishop Ravenel, which occurred on April 20, 2018. With the overwhelming support of the congregation, he was appointed the Pastor of Lingo Memorial, the 8th in succession, by Bishop Guy L. Glimp, Prelate, Pennsylvania Commonwealth Ecclesaistical Jurisdiction, on August 20, 2018. In addition to his service on the local level, he has served the Church Of God In Christ on many levels. He has been a constant supporter of the District work, he has served in the Jurisdictional Youth Department as Coordinator of Sports and Recreation, Coordinator of Young Men of Valor and Chairman of the Executive Board, under the Presidency of Supt. G.L. Frison. He also served as Vice-President under the Presidency of Elder Darryl Allen and as Interim President for 2 years. In addition, he served as Coordinator of Sports and Recreation of the East Region Interjurisdictional Rally under the leadership of Bishop Tyrone L. Butler.

Pastor Holton truly is a man after God’s own heart and has a passion for seeing broken souls changed through the Word of God. He is well known and respected for his gift to preach as his prayer is always “Lord give this Word an assignment”. He has been blessed to share this journey with his beautiful and gifted wife, Evangelist Jewel. L. Holton. Together they are blessed to share five children, Shaynique Holton, Ronald D. Holton, Jr., Donyae Burnett, Dontez Burnett and Jahaan Burnett. They are the grandparents of 3 beautiful girls, Saniya Loren Holton, Kavaia Rose Holton and Jream Ka’dore Holton.
